Soooo

So since my show has been cancelled I will talk a little about Terriors. I recently watched the first episode some where on line because it was hard to find at first. Terriors is an ordinary show about two misfits who take on crime and one use to be a cop who was a drunk and now is sober but is going through a divorce and his side kick who is a more youthful, wise cracking dude who together make a good team. This reminds me of the detective show called Psych on usa. Same type of show but interesting enough to have caught my attention.

My Generation is dead

So as everyone knows the show my generation was cancelled just after three episodes. I was right that the show would be cancelled due to its poor story telling and awkward presentation. I don't know about the acting either. All i can say is I'm disappointed with the outcome of this show. =(

ABC just can't do it.

Ok so as we all know the first episode of My Generation aired thursday night and to my surprise i was disappointed. The pros was the story line, way how everything looked and the history they covered in that one hour. The cons however out weigh the good. I felt the style of how the characters interacted with the camera crew was kind of awkward. Some lady in the back ground who you never see asks questions out of the blue, the office has the same style of shooting but you never hear a voice and the characters have there own interviews without questions just their responses, which gives the viewer an inside look into their thoughts.

Another bad element was the acting. I felt the best actor was the nerd, right off the bat he was likable and had a sense of realness except for the fight scene in the bar. The actors just seem awkward with each other and maybe they will get over it and grow closer but we'll see. I also feel their humor was next to non existent. and the sex jokes were in bad taste. To be honest it was unnecessary and random. The office has them but its funny and childish about it not dirty.

So i hope the show makes some turns towards the right direction but i know. I feel there are just too many stories going on at the same time to really get anywhere. I think office flows so well with the different characters because they really only focus on four of the characters lives outside the office at a time and everyone is together for in put at work.    

My Generation has some kinks to work out and hopefully it changes before it gets cancelled.

ABC's My Generation

My Generation is a documentary style drama show, about nine people who graduated in the year 2000 and were interviewed about their future plans. Now ten years later the same crew comes back and finds these same 9 people. My Generation was created and written by Noah Hawley (the Unusuals, bones) and Craig Gillespie directed the pilot. The project is from ABC studios. The cast includes Micheal Stahl-David as Steven, Kelli Garner as Dawn, Jaime King as Jacqueline, Keir O'Donnell as Kenneth, Sebastian Sozzi as he Falcon, Mechad Brooks as Rolly, Anne Son as Caroline, Daniella Alonso as Brenda and Julian Morris as Anders.

I think it will be interesting to see how each story plays out and how each one is intertwined. My Generation has a lot of potential, as long as the acting is good. The concept resonates with anyone who has graduated from high school. Everyone I knew in high school had hopes and dreams of where they wanted to be ten years from graduation. Many people i think can relate to this show and the characters in it. Have you reached their goals? Have you faced your fears? Have you lived your life? If not then... Why? These questions really hit home to late twenties and thirty somethings but linger in the college age minds as well.

I also think that the show will be interesting because it will have all the huge events in history within the decade 2000 to 2010. Plus its gonna have famous youtube videos and the actual home videos from the casts personal lives all mixed in there. In a way we all are in this show because we all witnessed these events. Plus its shooting style is like my favorite show The Office where  i feel you get a real sense of emotion and really get to know the characters through this style of videography. I'm excited for this show and i feel it will do well.
